Kunstmuseum Bonn, 2010:

DER WESTEN LEUCHTET brings together a total of 33 artists from two generations for a broadly based assessment of the artistic landscape of the Rhineland and North Rhine-Westphalia, impressively documents the measurement of the artistic heritage and would like to be a handbook for its history in the 20th century; At the same time, however, it also shows the outline of his artistic future.

The starting point is the presentation of the main artists of the older generation, each with new works. These, in turn, are linked to central positions in young up-and-coming artists, and historical and current perspectives fruitfully coexist. The special feature: the older generation of artists was selected by the Kunstmuseum Bonn, while the young artists presented were named by those selected artists – a conscious sign against the fantasm of the omnipotent curator and at the same time recognition of the priority achievement of the artists.
